An iconic building in the middle of the city center of Almere
The center of Almere is in full development and will have a good mix of living, working, meeting and facilities. Almere Centrum will focus on several program goals in the coming years. Densifying and making the center more sustainable is crucial for Almere's functioning as a beating heart. More greenery, strengthening the cultural heart, more focus on routing and accessibility and the renovation of the station, making the center even more accessible. The pedestrian is central, the routing between the squares serves as a green carpet through the center. The Esplanade is more involved in the city center and the Weerwater and the skyline continue to grow into the logo of Almere. All these developments will have a positive effect on HIGHnote.
Location
The center of Almere consists of an axis from the station to the Weerwater. There are squares along this axis, each with its own character and function. HIGHnote will be the new link on this axis and will form a connection to the new neighbourhoods. The location of HIGHnote is unique; in the heart of the city, next to the Stadhuisplein. As the iconic viewpoint from the Cinemadreef, the complex will function as an entrance to the lively center.
Located in the city center is the wide range of facilities immediately available to the resident. The center of Almere offers various museums, a theater, cinema, large national chain stores and small boutiques and the nicest restaurants and terraces.
Accessibility
HIGHnote is easily accessible on foot, by bicycle and by car. The A6 and A27 are a few minutes' drive away, making Amsterdam and Utrecht quickly accessible. The NS station Almere Central is within walking distance. From this station there is a direct connection to Schiphol, Amsterdam and Utrecht.
